Get the Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil  HERE

So. I have hit that point in life when skin just doesn’t look as good as it used to. Just kidding, I sleep well, I fixed my diet, I’ve also started doing daily face massages, my skin is better than ever, I’m ageing backwards, life is beautiful.

Although this might not be 100% true also, but I really can’t complain about my skin too much at the moment. Especially, since just half a year ago it was unusually dry and I suffered from hormonal acne, which, even if it wasn’t too crazy, left some red marks on my cheeks and my chin.

Therefore, when biovaistine.lt texted me offering to choose one of the products from their online shop, I instantly picked the Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil from The Organic Pharmacy. After hearing tons of great things about the benefits of rosehip seed oil, it was the perfect timing to finally try it myself.

What can I say, it looks like I found my top beauty product. I am only 3 weeks in using this oil (twice a day, as specified in the description), yet I can already tell that acne marks are starting to fade. Also, since rosehip seed is perfect as a sun damage treatment (which we all have, unless you live in a cave or wear hats and spf50 24/7, or you’re a robot), my skin tone became much more even. I know it sounds like I’m praising a magic elixir, however, I can promise – you won’t find one lie in this whole post – the product is just that good.

As I told you, I heard lots of great things about the rosehip seed oil before I even started to use it. When used on the face, rosehip seed oil is essentially a cure-all. Why is it that effective? Firstly, rosehip oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes and is full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that supposedly do wonderful things for your face. It also protects the skin and increases cell turnover because it contains beta-carotene (a form of vitamin A), vitamin C and vitamin E which are all antioxidants that help fight free radicals.

Wonderful things that rosehip oil does to you are the following:

IT HYDRATES

We all are a bit obsessed with that natural glow, aren’t we? Hydration is essential for soft, supple skin. Rosehip oil contains a wealth of essential fatty acids, including linoleic and linolenic acid. Fatty acids help to keep cell walls strong so that they don’t lose water.

BRIGHTENS SKIN AND HELPS TO EVEN OUT THE SKIN TONE

If you’ve been struggling to even out your skin tone or have red blotches you’re desperate to fade, this vitamin-packed cocktail is much easier on sensitive skin than anything else, so rub it on clean, damp skin both mornings and evenings.

HELPS TO REDUCE SCARING

The ultimate beauty ingredient trio — anti-inflammatory fatty acids and vitamins A and C — make this oil a potential solution for fading any facial scars or unsightly marks.

FIGHTS THE SUN DAMAGE

We all know, that staying out of the sun is one of the best things you can do to keep your skin looking youthful. Cumulative damage from a lifetime of exposure to the sun plays a major role in premature ageing. Rosehip oil contains antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E. These vitamins have been shown to synergistically combat visible sun damage. With this in mind, rosehip oil may be used to help reduce the negative effects of UV exposure. But it shouldn’t be used in place of sunscreen!

HELPS TO REDUCE INFLAMMATION

Rosehip is rich in both polyphenols and anthocyanin, which may help reduce inflammationIt also contains vitamin E, an antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory effects.

TREATS WRINKLES AND FIRMS YOUR SKIN

Rosehip oil may help your skin regain elasticity if you’ve noticed some sagging lately. It is high in vitamin A and Vitamin C which are the perfect nutrients needed to remove fine lines and wrinkles. They encourage healthy skin cell production. Retinoic acid(Vitamin A) and Vitamin C are important for cell production and growth. They also stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for developing tissue that keeps skin firm and healthy, in the deep layers of your skin.

HOW TO USE IT

Although it’s generally safe for all skin types, you should perform a patch test before your first use. This will ensure that you aren’t allergic to the oil.

Once you’ve done a patch test, you can apply rosehip oil up to twice per day. The oil can be used on its own, or you can add a few drops to another carrier oil or your favourite moisturizer. As rosehip oil can go rancid quickly, to help extend its shelf life, store the oil in a cool, dark place. You can also store it in your refrigerator.

Though it’s slightly more expensive, cold-pressed, organic rosehip oil is recommended for purity and best results. The one I am using now is from The Organic Pharmacy. Yes, you can find some cheaper ones in the market, however, when it comes to skin, don’t be stingy. You definitely get the value and quality you pay for. The Organic Pharmacy products are all eco-friendly, cruelty-free, doesn’t contain any chemicals and has only natural ingredients inside.

Like most beauty treatments out there, it may not work for everyone, and it never is only one product that does magic on itself, but rosehip seed oil certainly has some benefits that are real heavy-hitters. To be frank, it took me years to realise that having clear skin is a combination of everything you do in your life. You must watch what you eat, what do you put on your face, how well you sleep, how stressful your life is – I could dedicate a series of posts just about it. It might seem to be a lot sometimes, however, if you want to feel confident in your own skin, you will have to simply accept the fact that it’ll take a bit of effort. Which goes a LONG way.

Take this tip, love yourself now, and thank me in 15 years 😉
